Finish This Song

Here is today's song:
Well, if you told me you were drowning
I would not lend a hand
Ive seen your face before my friend
But I dont know if you know who I am

Finish it, try to at least get to the chorus. And extra credit for Song Title and Artist.

  3. I have a question about another blog you wrote concerning keratoconus in my left eye. I also live in Tulsa.

My eye doctor also recommended that I have the intac procedure and are in the process of getting my insurance to approve.

Just a couple of questions, how did your procedure go and are you happy with the results? Can you recommend your eye doctor for the procedure?

I'm a little nervous about the procedure as I can see relatively well out of the keratoconus eye.
Would not want to make it worse.

    Thanks

    Jeff

  4. Jeff -

The intacs procedure was very quick and easy. The only real problem I had was wearing the protective guard at night. That was a pain. Other than that I didnt have any real pain or healing issues. I just took the drops as directed and healed up rather quickly. I think that also has to do with the fact that the incisions were done with a laser instead of a blade.

My cone has shifted to the center from the bottom but really hasnt changed in slope at all. So I can see about as well as before, just can focus on different things now easier. I can get to about a 20/30 on the eye chart so the blurring and doubling did get reduces however it's not gone and I am NOT satisfied with what I've ended up with.

They have recently tried two hard lenses on my bad eye to help squish the cone back down and both hurt worse than any of the 17 lenses before it. So I cannot wear them.

The only other issue I have is that when my pupil is fully dilated I catch 3 or 4 rings of light in my vision. This is especially bad at night as headlights from the front and off to the side trip this behavior and they are nearly impossible to ignore.

I am visiting my doctor, Dr. Qasi Farjo, again on the 21st of this month and at that time, I'm going to request they the intacs be removed and we move onto a corneal transplant.

So was it an easy procedure? Yes. Would I do it again? No. I dont totally hate them, but they didnt really come close to helping me all that much.
