Mad World

I sometimes have an easy time shrugging off bad things in the news. We all do it, "that's politics" or "that's human nature". Sometimes you cant shake the things you read or hear about.

What kind of world are we living in anymore?

WASHINGTON - Twelve-year-old Deamonte Driver died of a toothache Sunday. A routine, $80 tooth extraction might have saved him. If his mother had been insured.

On his last day in CIA custody, Marwan Jabour, an accused al-Qaeda paymaster, was stripped naked, seated in a chair and videotaped by agency officers. Afterward, he was shackled and blindfolded, headphones were put over his ears, and he was given an injection that made him groggy.

  1. "DaShawn saw a dentist a couple of years ago, but the dentist discontinued the treatments, she said, after the boy squirmed too much in the chair."

Holy crap, are you KIDDING ME? That's crazy...

Time to punt and start over again on Mars. Heh...

  2. I couldn't have said it better myself!
