i'm telling you man. This is a scary time to be an american. Every day I hear more crap about what the government is doing and how they are just tightening their fist on all our "rights". but what no one is willing to admit is that we have dick for rights in this country. Sure, i can say what ever the hell i want when i want. that could be called free speech. but, i guarentee that all it would take would be to label me a threat or a possible terrorist and then that right is gone.if you don't believe me, look at what the US did to every japanese-AMERICAN in the U.S. during WWII. These were U.S. citizens, CITIZENS, who were rounded up and put into camps for one reason only. they were of japanese decent, or looked like it. it didn't matter if they were born here, or if they came here for the american dream. anyway, before this gets to long. Don't act to suprised when in 2008, "W" goes on every channel on the TV and says something to the effect of "I'm sorry to announce that the war on terror is still going on. Because of this, the United States is still at risk. As you are all aware, I am willing to do whatever needs to be done to protect the United States against this threat. For that reason I'm announcing that I will not step down from my presidency until this terror threat has been eliminated."i seriously can see him doing this. and when i see him tell Matt Lower (or however you spell his name) "so what" about claims that the US is torturing prisoners, illegaly recording phone conversations between americans, refusing to cooperate with any investigation into the claims i just don't see his refusal to step down as president of the US as much of a stretch. I mean christ, he's breaking a law that was put into place after Nixon taped a freaking hotel room. That was one fucking hotel room and a whole new set of laws were put into place to protect americans from the abuse of power that is the president. now, that has all basically been thrown out the window. and it makes me angry and scares the hell out of me at the same time.
