Is it 2008 yet?

November 07 3:15 PM

PANAMA CITY, Panama (AP) - President Bush vigorously defended U.S. interrogation practices in the war on terror Monday and lobbied against a congressional drive to outlaw torture.

"There's an enemy that lurks and plots and plans and wants to hurt America again," Bush said. "So you bet we will aggressively pursue them but we will do so under the law."

He declared, "We do not torture."

What does he think his Administration has been doing to the American people for the last 5+ years - I feel tortured. And what's interesting is while he is making these statements Vice President Cheney is lobbying for an exemption to a bill by Sen. McCain (that seeks to ban all forms of torture) to all the CIA to be exempt from this. So I guess when George Bush says "we do not torture" he means all of us except the CIA. This is so absurd and yet another example of how these pricks say one thing and do and mean another.
