“I made very clear to Congress that the use of federal money, taxpayer’s money, to promote science which destroys life in order to save life — I’m against that,” Bush said. “Therefore, if the bill does that, I would veto it.”
That was his reply in response to adjust spending and progress limits into stem cell research. I am ignoring his inability to form a complete and orderly thought and then verbalize it. What strikes me is if he opposes federally funded science that results in things that destroy life in order to save it, then how the hell does ANY defense spending happen?
The government spent taxpayers money to create the nuclear bomb and the MOAB - if he is against funding that science, then I would like my portion of that money back, especially since "I know how to spend it better than they do".
And if you still want to argue with me, two years ago DARPA used our money to make landmines that jump.
